First, my card features one of the Pinque Peacock stick pins.  Isn't it lovely?  Here's a close-up. And my second project is to hold my Pinque Peacock stick pins and buttons.  I made it from a jelly jar, fabric, a

I had so much fun making this card (after I fretted with my print driver/InDesign issues) BUTTTTT...... Blog Candy Winner

With the help of the Random.Org, the winning draw is Lucy! I realize it seems odd the number, but here's what I did....everyone that posted a comment (25) got a chance to win.  Then followers received an extra chance (13).  25 + 13 = 38. Lucy, I'm running over to your blog to comment so you can tell me where to send your mystery goodies!

Big News!

I have some super exciting news!  I'm now participating in a wonderful team for Pinque Peacock!  Founded by Jessica Shelton-Buffa, this is a little boutique that offers a series of really versatile products that span several mediums!  I've been using the products in some of my artwork, and now I get to work directly this band of colorful birds to showcase and highlight their products on a regular basis. Here's a recap of a couple items I have shown here previously, but thought you might like to see them again. This card uses one of the fabric colored buttons.  It's a pretty good sized button (1.5 inches diameter).  But I really liked how bright and beautiful this card turned out... Here's a recent tag I made for a Christmas present, which uses the fabulous stick pins: Needless to say... I'm psyched! Here's a photo of all of us! Treats to the Mail

I have been working on a bunch of little Valentine treats this weekend! This is another version of the one I did the other day.  I've decided to post this to the 3GirlJam Challenge! Here's a card that I made for my friend's birthday.  I had made a very similar card for my husband's Valentine's Day card (Shhhh...don't tell him), but this one has a boatload of hearts varying in size, texture, and color!  I have to say, I really like the next honeycomb embossing folder and the Core'dinations card stock from Stampin Up! Knitted Love - Care Tags

So, it's downright chilly outside...and we're experiencing a "nor'easter" which I had NEVER heard of until I moved here. For those of you that don't know what it is either, you can find out more HERE . Anyway, there is almost no better way to spend time when you're stuck indoors than knitting (my dogs would disagree...they still believe there is NOTHING good about inside except TREATS). But I digress.  This post is about all the knitted good I'm making...But you really can't SEE in the photo above.  It's another hat, similar to THIS ONE .  It's for another friend having a birthday this week. I have to keep it sorta quiet, tho, cuz she'll find out before she gets it!  Anyway, here's a little care tag I made for her hat.  And it fits, given our present weather conditions! I had so much fun creating this tag...It was a REAL mess, tho, cuz I painted and glittered, and painted some more, and glued...and YIKES...I let the paint

Little Packaged Treats

I don't know about you, but SOMEONE needed to catch those M&M dudes...They were just running amuck. This little treat package measures. Let's Seeeee.  Gotta' Find it! AH, there.  Opened by SOMEONE. Oh, wait.  Maybe THEY escaped.  Now...THAT's a creepy thought. Who to blame. ANYWAY.  Back to the dimensions.  I BELIEVE it was (definitely) 3 inches across the top and 4.5 inches (pretty sure) lengthwise. Another thing I'm sure of...I used: Transparency sheets from Staples RETIRED yet LOVELY Stampin Up! DSP Ciao, Baby! stamps from Stampin Up! und mein Favorit...3GirlJam Crinkle Ribbon. Hubba Hubby

While it was absolutely awesome to see this man as I finished my exhausting and hung-over engulfed run, it was way more fun to see this photo on review (today) and notice Layla in the foreground. She was happy to see Daddy too.

Happy Birthday Friend

One of my very good friends is having a birthday tomorrow.  I really don't think she knows how often she enters my thoughts nor how often I pray that she continues to mend...but she's there...always...behind my eye...in thought. And she turns one year older in just a couple hours.  And I, as well as so many others, are so glad to see this birthday of hers, because not very long ago, she spent this birthday in a hospital, recovering from one of the most horrific motorcycle accidents many have ever experienced. And she survived. She is here for a reason.  So glad. So glad I know her. Happy birthday friend.  I have only silly little trifles to offer you.  But I'm glad you are here today to celebrate.
